Nov. 2021 · Haven’t seen both films in a while, but what makes “Iphigenia” so great is what’s missing from Cacoyannis’s other adaptation, “Electra” (1962) – it’s more directly mythological, and less ambiguous that way. Still excellent, if I remember correctly. Really good critique, makes me want to give it a re-watch!
