Virgin Prunes est un groupe de post-punk irlandais, originaire de Dublin. Il est formé en 1977 et dissous en 1986 , et connu pour sa subversion. Gavin Friday , membre fondateur et ami de The Edge et Bono de U2 poursuivit une carrière solo tandis que le bassiste et le batteur rebaptisés The Prunes, continuèrent jusqu'en 1990 [ 1 ] .
