Walters activated the District’s Extreme Heat Protocol, which will transition students and staff to remote teaching and learning Tuesday, May 21, and Wednesday May 22, 2024 at the 39 facilities below. Teachers will facilitate live remote instruction on Microsoft Teams. Grab and go meal service will be available at 16 locations.

PITTSBURGH, May 22, 2024 – This evening the Board approved the opening of a new Early Childhood Center in the Carrick area for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. The new center will open in the current Pittsburgh Roosevelt Primary building (200-The BLVD). The move will consolidate Pittsburgh Roosevelt grades K-5 into the Roosevelt Intermediate Building (17 W Cherryhill Street).
