The president is in a stationary armored car, so all this stuff is happening around him, but there’s nothing particularly thrilling or exciting to those actions. This movie is at least ten minutes longer than it should have been, and everything about the film tells me this should have been a TV movie. Week 3/52 of the Cult Movie Challenge:

The end is a bit predictable, but still leaves you cheering. Hal Holbrook plays perhaps the most believable president in film history.
