Manfred Rommel, Hon. CBE (24 December 1928 – 7 November 2013) was a German politician. He belonged to the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). He was Lord Mayor of Stuttgart from 1974 until 1996. He was the only son of Erwin Rommel and his wife Lucia Maria Mollin. Rommel was born on 24 December 1928 in Stuttgart, Weimar Republic, Germany.

While at Cadet School early in 1911, Rommel met his future wife, 17-year-old Lucia Maria Mollin (commonly called "Lucie"). He graduated in November 1911, and was commissioned as a lieutenant in January 1912. Rommel and Lucie married in 1916, and in 1928 they had a son, Manfred, who would later become the mayor of Stuttgart.
Doose and Maisel stepped out and walked away from the car. Five minutes later Burgdorf gestured to the two men to return to the car. Doose noticed that Rommel was slumped over. He was taken to the Wagner-Schule field hospital. Ten minutes later, they telephoned Rommel's wife Lucia Maria Mollin (1894- 1971) to inform her of the death of her husband.
