Mai 2015 · Rarely has a remake felt more contractually obligated than the 2015 version of “Poltergeist.” There are a few decent performances, a nice riff on the technology fears that drove the original movie, and a centerpiece of horror that works, but never once do you get the feeling that the people behind this remake are here because of artistic passion or creative drive.
Als wirklich einfallsreich erweist sich das Poltergeist-Remake allerdings nicht. Our review: Parents say ( 15 ): Kids say ( 40 ): As unnecessary remakes go, Poltergeist isn't the most egregious, but it's also not a particularly inspired take on the brilliantly creepy original. Despite the excellent character actors playing the parents, the movie doesn't elicit viewers' investment in this family or their horrible situation.
