10. Okt. 2019 · Ginger Baker hatte sich durch Cream und Blind Faith einen Namen gemacht und gründete seine eigene Band, die „Ginger Baker’s Airforce“. Von seinen Blind Faith Bandkollegen holte er sich hierzu Steve Winwood und Rick Grech. Es sollte keine kleine Band werden!
Im Jahr 1970 hatte Baker seine eigene Gruppe Ginger Baker’s Air Force, die jedoch im Frühjahr 1971 schon wieder aufgelöst wurde. Mitglieder waren u. a. Phil Seamen (dr), Steve Winwood (gui, voc), Graham Bond (org, voc), Ric Grech (bg, vi), Denny Laine (gui) und Chris Wood (sax, fl).

9. Jan. 2018 · Ginger Baker formed Air Force after the breakup of Blind Faith, a supergroup co-founded the prior year by guitarist Eric Clapton (Yardbirds, Bluesbreakers, Cream) and keyboardist/singer Steve Winwood (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic).
15. Feb. 2021 · At the end of 1969, with no future in sight for Blind Faith following Eric Clapton ’s departure, Baker conscripted Steve Winwood and Rick Grech for his next project, a 10-piece jam band featuring Denny Laine, Graham Bond and Chris Wood.
