Beastie Boys were an American hip hop/rap rock group from New York City, formed in 1981. The group was composed of Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz (vocals, guitar), Adam "MCA" Yauch (vocals, bass), and Michael "Mike D" Diamond (vocals, drums, programming).

Discography - Beastie Boys : Beastie Boys. Licensed to Ill. November 15, 1986. "Paul Revere" and "The New Style" had been released as singles. Both did well; they built on the success of "Hold It Now, Hit It," got played by the same mix shows and club DJs. By early February 1987, the LP had gone platinum. DJ Run had been proven correct.
