The mood Horn created on the record was so complete, so true to Davis, that the album won a Grammy award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance in 1998.

A supremely talented vocalist, Horn was known for her creative delivery and emphatic inflection, which allowed her to imbue a song’s lyrics with new shades of meaning.

In 1998 she won a Grammy Award for I Remember Miles. Her later albums include You’re My Thrill (2001) and May the Music Never End (2003).
