Far less prestige, simple Biology major (not immuno/micro) but I could essentially do it myself entirely, with my savings and working during summers. Is this the smarter option? I worry about the lack of opportunities at the location, the crime, the somewhat crumbling state of Louisiana, the lack of prestige, though I know they have good undergrad research. I guess it’s just not what I imagined.
