Für den Miami-Sieger gab es um 20:12 Uhr dann endlich Entwarnung, sein Abkürzen hat keine weiteren Konsequenzen. Grund: Als Norris von der Strecke in Kurve 14 abkam, berührte er dabei den orangen Randstein und war daher nicht verpflichtet, um den Poller zu fahren.
