  1. 17. Jan. 2007 · English - United States. Nov 9, 2013. #11. "Would" is conditional. We use it when something may or may not happen. In your first set of sentences, you are going to Cornwall for the weekend, so the future tense ("will") is appropriate. In the second set, going to Cornwall is only a suggestion, so "would" is the correct tense.

  2. 17. Aug. 2008 · If you are mentioning about something which happend in the past, "That's OK" is preferable. 2: If you are mentioning something which has just happened or might happen in the future, "It's OK" is preffereble. 3: It does not really matter and both are basically interchangeable in most cases.

  3. 30. Apr. 2020 · Servus! Hab mal eine Frage, die etwas feingefühl braucht. Oft ruft man mich an, um mir mitzuteilen, dass irgendwas abholbereit ist. Da sage ich oft sowas wie: "Gut, dann weiß ich Bescheid. Danke!" oder "Alles klar, dann weiß ich Bescheid. Danke!" Ich hab dann immer das Gefühl, dass der/die Andere momentan unwillkürlich innehält, als ob ...

  4. 21. Nov. 2013 · London. English - South-East England. Nov 21, 2013. #4. There need not be a difference in meaning. However, in this case I would say 'okay by me' and 'okay with me' both mean I agree with that, but 'okay for me' means the proposed time suits me. The decision is okay by/with me; the time slot is okay for me. K.

  5. 28. Jan. 2010 · Thank you bibliolept - I've checked the thread, but still couldn't find the answer to my question. I know that okay is an option for OK, but my question is whether ok (in small letters) is considered as correct spelling, too, or whether it needs to be in capital letters.

Whereas asking "Is that OK with you?" simply enquires if they have any (ethical, intellectual, practical ...

  8. 27. Juni 2008 · I don't think "fine" sounds bad at all. To say, "I hope that's fine with you." sounds just fine to me. I guess it might be a BE/AE difference. Fine is fine, but you need to use "that's fine" for it to sound fine, rather than "it is fine," which sounds a bit off. I don't have a reason for "with" instead of "for", but the phrase simply is, "okay ...

  9. 10. Mai 2011 · Hello everyone! Is "ok-ish" only a slang way to say ok? For instance, in this sentence: "My essay was ok-ish". Is it common? Thanks a lot!

  10. 2. Nov. 2018 · Do American and British people use "NOK" as an abbreviation of "not OK", for example, in a PowerPoint slide or a table in a Word document, where there's only a limited space?
