  3. Frank Rosolino (* 20. August 1926 in Detroit, Michigan; † 26. November 1978 in Van Nuys, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Posaunist, der vor allem als Solist bei Stan Kenton bekannt ist. Er hatte einen Ruf als exzellenter Techniker auf seinem Instrument.

Grissom / Professor Emeritus) Frank Rosolino will be remembered and respected throughout the contemporary jazz world for his mastery of the trombone, his uncanny ability to fit and work successfully with a wide range of musical ideas, and perhaps last but not entirely forgotten, his wit and capacity for comic entertainment.

  7. Frank Rosolino. Frank Rosolino (1926–78) Frank Rosolino was an agile, flexible and expressive jazz trombonist who bridged bebop and swing styles and was known for his extrovert sense of humour. Born in Detroit, Michigan into a musical family Rosolino initially dabbled with the guitar aged 10 before taking up the trombone in high school.
