  3. J. B. Lenoir (* 5. März 1929 in Monticello, Mississippi; † 29. April 1967 in Urbana, Illinois) war ein US-amerikanischer Blues -Sänger und -Gitarrist. Zu seinen bekanntesten Hits gehören Mama Talk to Your Daughter und der Eisenhower Blues .

  4. He began to perform at local nightclubs, with musicians such as Memphis Minnie, Big Maceo Merriweather, and Muddy Waters, and became an important part of the city's blues scene. Lenoir began recording in 1951 for J.O.B. Records and Chess Records.

  5. Alabama Blues (1965) and Down in Mississippi (1966), both produced by Willie Dixon, were recorded for the German label L & R, and both featured stripped down acoustic arrangements that recast Lenoir as a Southern folk-blues troubadour.
