Un nombreux cortège, conduit par Jean Psichari, son beau-frère, et Henri Renan, son cousin, et composé principalement d’artistes et d’écrivains, suit le char funèbre, puis Ary Renan est inhumé au cimetière Montmartre dans le caveau d’Ary Scheffer, où repose déjà son père.
