Concorde ( / ˈkɒŋkɔːrd /) is a retired Anglo-French supersonic airliner jointly developed and manufactured by Sud Aviation (later Aérospatiale) and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC).
Production of Concorde took place in a number of stages. First there was the assembly of the central fuselage from various sections made at Aerospatiale’s factories at Marignane, Bougenais and Toulouse, together with the nose and tail built at BAC Weybridge.
Twenty Concorde aircraft were built: two prototypes, two pre-production aircraft, two development aircraft and 14 production aircraft for commercial service. With the exception of two of the production aircraft, all are preserved, mostly in museums.

Its Anglo-French designers produced the world’s first supersonic commercial passenger aircraft which at its fastest flew from New York to London in less than three hours.
