When Jacky Custis reached maturity, he married Eleanor Calvert, with whom he had four children. He died in 1781 and his wife remarried the Alexandria physician David Stuart in 1783. Her portrait still hangs today at Mount Airy Mansion in Rosaryville State Park, Maryland.
