Sir Harold Beauchamp (15 November 1858 – 5 October 1938) was a New Zealand businessman and later two times chairman of the Bank of New Zealand. He is remembered as the father of author Katherine Mansfield.

Sir Harold Beauchamp died in Wellington in 1938 leaving a notable legacy. He had served as Vice-President of the War Memorial Carillon Society and a portion of his estate was donated to the New Zealand Academy for Fine Arts.

Kathleen Mansfield Beauchamp is born to Annie Dyer and Harold Beauchamp, residing at 11 Tinakori Rd, Wellington, New Zealand, “a little land with no history.” She will be one of six children. 1895. Begins school at Karori village school. 1898. Attends Wellington Girls’ High School.
Beauchamp was a director of the Bank of New Zealand for almost 38 years, and its chairman for some periods; but he will be remembered longer and more widely as the father of Katherine Mansfield, in some of whose stories he is sharply portrayed (e.g., as “Stanley Burnell” in Prelude and At the Bay ).
