Zeke Carey. About. zeke is proudly from New jersey, where he has been writing and performing original music for decades, on the local scene. Carey was a founding member of The Flamingos, whose roots can be traced back to Chicago’s south side, circa 1950. Jacob “Jake” Carey and Ezekiel “Zeke” Carey are often noted as being cousins, but they weren’t really directly related at all.
Nachdem Jake Carey 1996 gestorben war, übernahm sein Sohn J.C. seinen Platz. 2001 starb dann auch Zeke Carey, stattdessen kehrte Hunt zurück. Im gleichen Jahr wurden die Flamingos in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Am 21. August 2009 starb Johnny Carter im Alter von 75 Jahren.
