[better source needed] She was one of the backing vocalists on the Love Affair’s 1968 UK number one single Everlasting Love Dee in 1974. She recorded her debut album, I'm Kiki Dee , in 1968 which included a series of Phil Spector -style tracks and covers. [3]
I bought this album (vinyl) at that time, fell in love with it, 31 years later I bought the re-issued CD, and although my musical taste has grown onto a jazzier side (so to speak), I still consider this one of the best albuns ever recorded. For younger generations who never heard of Kiki Dee or even for elder ones who only know her for the duet ...
Yet another mysterious record has turned up. It was sold as an E.M.I. acetate of Kiki Dee - Love Is A Warm Kind Of Sorrow. We know that this was a track off Great Expectations, so would presumably place it around the early 70's. It is only marked on one side but has the same track on the b-side.
