On Happy Come Home, producers Anton Fier and Stephen Soles make the mistake of burying Williams and her eccentric voice in a massive studio effort; Williams sounds like an avalanche survivor, vainly trying to climb out from under sitars, drum machines and horn sections.
1984 erschien What A Wonderful World, eine Single-Vinylschallplatte mit zwei Songs. 1986 arbeitete sie mit ihrem damaligen Ehemann Peter Case an seinem Debüt-Album, ein Jahr später folgte ihr eigenes Debüt, Happy Come Home, produziert von Anton Fier. 1990 veröffentlichte sie Swing the Statue.
John Anton Fier III (June 20, 1956 – September 14, 2022) was an American drummer, producer, composer, and bandleader. He led The Golden Palominos, an experimental rock group active from the 1980s to 2010.
