Randy Jo Hobbs (March 22, 1948 – August 5, 1993) was an American musician born in Winchester, Indiana. Hobbs played bass for The McCoys during the 1965-1969 period and in the bands of the brothers Edgar Winter and Johnny Winter during 1970–1976.
7. März 2017 · Randy Jo Hobbs was a bassist who played with the McCoys, Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter and others. He died of heart failure in 1993 after a long struggle with drug addiction.
On the Jump On It album, Alan Fitzgerald was replaced on bass by Randy Jo Hobbs, and the subsequent tour to promote the album saw the band performing as a four-piece without a bass player, utilizing Jim Alicivar for keyboard-bass.

Many of the songs on the album have a more rock-oriented power trio sound, with Randy Jo Hobbs playing bass and Richard Hughes on drums. Rick Derringer , who produced, plays guitar on three tracks. Still Alive and Well features two Rolling Stones songs — " Silver Train " and " Let It Bleed ".
