Robert Brunning (29 June 1943 – 18 October 2011) was a British musician who was, as a small part of a long musical career, the original bass guitar player with the blues rock band Fleetwood Mac.

Original Fleetwood Mac bassist Bob Brunning died on 18 October 2011 at the age of 68. Former guitarist and singer Bob Weston was found dead on 3 January 2012 at the age of 64. Former singer and guitarist Bob Welch was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on 7 June 2012 at the age of 66.
Bob Brunning, a founder member of Fleetwood Mac and a stalwart of the British blues scene for five decades, has died after a heart attack aged 68. Brunning played with the group Savoy Brown and for many years led his own bands, often supporting visiting American musicians, while holding down a day job as a teacher.
Bob Brunning passed away of a heart attack on October 18, 2011. He was 68 years old. He and his first wife, Sujatin Elspeth Johnson, had two children: Simon and Rachel. Bob also had a son Daniel, with his second wife Halina. He was survived by six grandchildren. He is the first member of Fleetwood Mac (sixteen members in all) to have died.
