Burton Lorne Cummings OC OM (born December 31, 1947) is a Canadian musician. He is best known for leading The Guess Who during that band's most successful period from 1965 to 1975, and for a lengthy solo career.
Above the Ground is the eighth studio album by Burton Cummings released in late 2008 on Sony Music Entertainment Canada. It was his first solo recording since 1996, and also was his newest studio album since his 1990 release Plus Signs.

'Retribution' sees the tempo move up again and this once more veers into Guess Who territory and is to all intents and purposes a straight up rock song. The album ends with the title track another classic Cummings composition over a great stomping jazzy rock piano rhythm.

The tour starts September 13 in Deadwood, South Dakota at Deadwood Jam. Tickets for the tour are available to the public on March 8 at 10 AM local time.
