  4. Our General English courses offer a comprehensive approach to the English language, one that covers all four core skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. These courses are practical and allow students to speak and use the language right away, but also to acquire a solid grasp of grammar so that they can progress from year to year to the next level.

  5. Library Services. From our foundation in 1917, the Library has always been the beating heart of the British Institute of Florence. One of the largest English language lending libraries in Europe, it is a humanities collection, with strong holdings in English and Italian literature, history, and history of art.

  6. Each Wednesday evening at 18.00, join us for an informative and entertaining lecture on a theme connected to the history, art and life of Florence. The lectures are given by leading experts, simultaneously in our beautiful Library and round the world via Zoom! And there is plenty of time for questions and further discussion at the end.
