10. Juli 2018 · What you may not know, is that his bass player, J.T. Cure, is also a fellow Kentuckian. J.T. grew up in Elkhorn City and spent time as part of the Kentucky Opry at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg. The Kentucky Opry also produced Rebecca Lynn Howard.

Saw Chris Stapleton last night & was blown away by JT Cure’s playing and tone. I wish the bass wasn’t buried in the mix on the recordings, because he has some seriously tasty bass lines. Impressive collection of vintage jazz basses, a badass Gibson Thunderbird, Matchless amp….and whoever directed the video feed must be a bassist.
