Rhino Records celebrates the start of Black History Month today by announcing vinyl reissues of albums by two legendary architects of modern R&B: Keith Sweat’s triple-platinum debut, Make It Last Forever, and Eric Benét’s breakthrough release, A Day In The Life.
5. Feb. 2024 · Keith Sweat’s debut album, Make It Last Forever, and Eric Benét’s sophomore effort, A Day in the Life, will be reissued on vinyl via Rhino Records. The record company announced both vinyls will release on Feb. 23 as part of its Black History Month celebration.

22. Juli 2016 · R&B. Keith Sweat. Friday, July 22, 2016. Born in Harlem on this day in 1961, Keith Sweat was singing with a group called Jamilah when he crossed paths with Teddy Riley, keyboard player in another local band, Total Climax.
In den US-amerikanischen Billboard-Charts war er 1988 erstmals mit I Want Her vertreten und erreichte den fünften Platz der Pop-Charts, in den R&B-Charts war es Sweats erster Nummer-eins-Hit. Seinen größten Erfolg hatte er 1996 mit Twisted, das bis auf Platz 1 der R&B-Charts und auf Platz 2 der Pop-Charts stieg.
