Michael „Mike“ Thurmeier (* 1965) ist ein kanadischer Animator und Filmregisseur . Leben. Nachdem er 1997 sein Animationsstudium am Sheridan College abgeschlossen hatte, bewarb er sich bei einigen Unternehmen als 3D-Animator. He is born from Regina, Saskatchewan and before he became an animator he wanted to be a lawyer but after seeing the animated Disney film, Aladdin that he chose to pursue the film industry instead He also co-directed the short film, No Time For Nuts (along with Chris Renaud).
He was attached to directing the fifth film (along with Galen T. Chu.)
