Brooke Ostrander, our friend, multi-instrumentalist and keyboard player in Wicked Lester died of cancer on Sept. 3rd. After the dissolution of that band, he went on to become an impassioned and devoted high school music teacher.

The origins of the band trace to 1970, when bassist Gene Klein and keyboardist Brooke Ostrander recruited lead guitarist Stephen Coronel, a childhood friend and former bandmate of Klein. The group took the name Rainbow shortly thereafter.
Brooke Ostrander was a keyboardist who played with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley in Wicked Lester, a precursor of KISS. He also taught music for 26 years and passed away on September 3, 2011.
Ein erstes Treffen in der Wohnung Coronels ergab schnell, dass Stanley und Simmons nicht auf einer Wellenlänge waren, doch diese Anfangsprobleme wurden überwunden und Simmons stieß zur Band, der zu dieser Zeit auch Tony Zarrella (Schlagzeug) und Brooke Ostrander (Keyboards) angehörten.
7. März 2017 · The lineup consisted of Stanley and Coronel on guitars, Simmons on bass, Brooke Ostrander (RIP, FYC) on piano and horns, and Tony Zarella on drums. Wicked Lester performed only two gigs before an opportunity was offered by Ron Johnsen, a resident sound engineer at Electric Lady studios.
10. Sept. 2011 · Brooke Ostrander was a member of the pre-KISS band WICKED LESTER, which recorded an album in 1971. He passed away from cancer in 2011 and was a music teacher and a life coach.
