Nach der Scheidung von De Palma (1984) und einer schweren Krankheit Ende der Achtziger Jahre ist Nancy Allen weniger im Film zu sehen. Bekannt bleibt sie vor allem durch die drei sehr erfolgreichen Robocop-Filme ( Robocop, Robocop II, 1993), in denen sie neben Peter Weller vor der Kamera steht.
