Clide Vernon "Sonny" Landreth (born February 1, 1951) [1] is an American blues musician from southwest Louisiana who is especially known as a slide guitar player. He was born in Canton, Mississippi, and settled in Lafayette, Louisiana. [2][3] He lives in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

this is a great CD from top to bottom! Sonny Landreth's playing is brilliant and John Mayall is in great form. I have purchased some of his more recent CDs after hearing this, they are good but lack the dynamic inspiration of this group(?). I like this album much better than the Stones half hearted (where the hell is Kieth?) Blue and Lonesome ...
