Thankfully the Complete Recordings of the Father of Western Swing have been painstaking re-mastered and preserved. The Brownies, it turns out, recorded some 102 tunes under Milton's leadership, all first takes by a super-tight working band, all issued at the time on 78s that sold primarily in the southwest.
