Sometimes I Just Feel Like Smilin' was released in 1971, after which the group disbanded. In 1972, a retrospective of their career, Golden Butter: The Best of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, was released by Elektra. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 2015.
