Frida recorded her first English-language solo album in 1982, ABBA’s final year together. The album was called Something’s Going On, and was produced by Phil Collins. In 1982, Frida felt it was time to record a solo-album again, this time in English and aimed at the international market. ABBA were spending less and less time together.
Shine is the fourth studio album by Swedish singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and her second international solo album as Frida. It was first released in September 1984 and has since been re-released several times, mainly in the digitally remastered form in 2005 with bonus tracks.
