Liam Genockey (born 12 August 1948) is an Irish musician, who is the drummer with British folk rock band Steeleye Span.
Leben und Wirken. Genockey spielte zunächst in Plymouth während der 1960er Jahre in lokalen Bands, um dann bei Adolphus Rebirth und ZZebra zu spielen, bevor er mit John McCoy zu Gillan wechselte. Seit Mitte der 1970er Jahre gehörte er zur Band Amalgam.
An accomplished jazz musician, Liam has been a part of Paul Brady’s band for many years and recently played on Tom McRae’s All Maps Welcome album. He also contributed to the 2002 Robert Wyatt tribute album Soupsongs Live.

Liam Genockey Drums. 1989-1998; 2002-now Liam was the bands only 2nd full time drummer having previously worked with Peter Knight in the Trevor Watts big Jazz band, they also both lived in Hastings at the time.
