Brimstone and Treacle is a 1976 BBC television play by Dennis Potter. Originally intended for broadcast as an episode of the series Play for Today , it remained untransmitted until 1987. The play was made into a film version (released in 1982) co-starring Sting .

This consists primarily of useless soundtrack filler: old tracks from Squeeze and the Go-Go's, a tedious narration and bland instrumentals. On the bright side, Sting sings a few, including a campy dance-band ditty. Will That suffice."
The film also includes an incredibly cool soundtrack of songs by artists like The Go-Go’s, The Police, Squeeze and an irreverently stylish 1930’s little ditty called Spread A Little Happiness, performed by Sting.
