Dave Hope (born October 7, 1949) is an American bass guitarist who played with the American progressive rock band Kansas from 1970 (original version) until the band's first split in 1983. When he was in high school, he played the tuba and trumpet in his high school band.
Dav's Hope is an abandoned settlement located on planet A 5 in the Hyades Sector DR-V c2-23 system. Recovered logs indicate that it was an active corporate mining site in 3286.
Eine gleichnamige achtköpfige Vorläuferband mit den späteren Bandmitgliedern Ehart, Hope und Livgren (manchmal auch als Kansas I bezeichnet) existierte bereits von 1970 bis 1971. Ihre größten Erfolge feierte die Band jedoch nach ihrer Neugründung im Jahre 1972.
