Abstract. The Institute of Dentistry at Barts and The School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, has seen much change since 1857 when surgeon dentist, H. J. Barrett, was appointed to The London to oversee the extraction of teeth.
The Institute is a part of Queen Mary’s medical faculty, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and delivers internationally recognised research and teaching in population health.
