26. Nov. 2022 · Former Labor and Independent State MP Billy Gordon has died, aged 49. Capalaba MP and friend Don Brown confirmed the former Member for Cook in far north Queensland died overnight. Mr Brown said Mr Gordon had been battling kidney illness, but his death had come as a shock to those close to him and it is not known whether his illness was the cause.
Billy Gordon, the former Labor and independent MP for Cook, passed away at 49. He was expelled from the Labor Party in 2015 for failing to disclose his criminal history and supported the Palaszczuk government.
