Andando el Tiempo is an album by American composer and pianist Carla Bley with saxophonist Andy Sheppard and bass guitarist Steve Swallow released on the ECM label. Though the musicians are longtime collaborators, this is their third album as a trio and second on the ECM label.

The trio with Sheppard and Swallow has been an ideal vehicle for Carla’s writing for more than 20 years and also provides one of the best contexts for her unique piano playing. Like the critically lauded ECM album Trios (2012), Andando el Tiempo was recorded at Lugano’s RSI Studio and produced by Manfred Eicher.

12. Juli 2016 · Andando el Tiempo is all new material, highlighted by one of Bley's now-characteristic longer works, the three-part title suite. Bley wrote the suite, which depicts the three stages of recovery from addiction, for a friend she watched go through the process.
