He also added to them a so-called ‘Guitar Orchestra’ that featured, among others, Joe Satriani, and then persuaded Columbia to release the reworked recordings as a new Blue Öyster Cult album.
12. Nov. 2020 · The vision of long-time Blue Oyster Cul t manager Sandy Pearlman, Imaginos tells the story of an "actor in history" commissioned by alien powers to push mankind toward an apocalyptic confrontation with evil. Think of it as Zelig filtered through H.P. Lovecraft and Joseph Campbell.
Therefore, the five members of the band brought on board a number of other musicians, including the 'Guitar Orchestra of the State of Imaginos', an impressive array of lead guitarists that included The Doors' Robbie Krieger (who had already guested on BOC's "ET Live"), and six-string wizard Joe Satriani.
