Her voice can also be heard in eerie music that accompanies the Talosians' illusions in "The Cage", also composed by Alexander Courage.
Loulie Jean Norman is the operatic soprano heard in the original Star Trek theme during the first season. Her vocal was replaced by an organ in the second season as a cost-cutting measure to keep the production under budget.
