Chris Huggett (1949 - 22 October 2020) was a British engineer and designer who co-founded Electronic Dream Plant (EDP), founded Oxford Synthesiser Company and who was also a design consultant for Novation Digital Music Systems, Paul Whittington Group Ltd, and other manufacturers of audio technology.
On Thursday 22nd October 2020, we lost synth designer Chris Huggett, a long-time Novation collaborator, to cancer. Chris’ synth legacy began in the 1970s with EDP and the Oxford Synthesizer Company — long before he began working on the original Novation Bass Station in the early ’90s.

28. Okt. 2020 · It is with great sadness that we report that Chris Huggett, Britain's greatest synth designer of the EDP Wasp and Gnat, OSCar, Novation BassStation and SuperNova, has lost a two-year battle with cancer and passed away on 22 October 2020.
