Jerry Jeff Walker (born Ronald Clyde Crosby; March 16, 1942 – October 23, 2020) [3] [4] was an American country and folk singer-songwriter. He was a leading figure in the progressive country and outlaw country music movement. He was best known for having written the 1968 song "Mr. Bojangles".
In the nineties he operated Music Cellar studios in Colorado where Chuck Pyle’s “Keepin’ Time By The River” was recorded. Jerry Jeff Walker, Jennifer Warnes and several of Jackson Brown’s band joined the project. Rudy has since recorded his own songs and has two CD’s available, “Places” and “Undiscovered”.
It's About Time is a progressive country album by Jerry Jeff Walker. Recorded after Walker's battle with throat cancer, it is the final album released before the singer-songwriter's death in 2020.
