The conventional truth about something is its dependence on conditions. The ultimate truth is its emptiness. This doctrine has its roots in the words of the historical Buddha, who acknowledged that some experiences, in particular nirvana, lie beyond the ability of language to describe.
Ultimate truth is the understanding that all phenomena are empty—empty of any inherent self-nature, empty of permanence, empty of any concrete meaning or value or definition or function. The ultimate nature of things, which we call empty, is how things really are when they are not obscured by conventional stories.
The apparent conventional truth and the real or ultimate Truth. The ultimate Truth can be realized only through meditation, and not theorizing or speculating. The Buddha's Teaching is the Ultimate Truth of the world. Buddhism, however, is not a revealed or an organized religion.
