29. Mai 2008 · British drummer Mickey Waller has died from liver failure aged 66. Waller was a much in demand session musician during the 1960s and toured and recorded with many of that era´s seminal bands including Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, John Mayall´s Bluesbreakers and the Jeff Beck Group alongside Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood.

Mickey Waller, who played with many of the biggest names on the rock and blues scene, including Cat Stevens, Jeff Beck, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Chuck Berry, has passed away. Mickey died of liver cancer.
Jazz-trained drummer Mickey added 'The Waller Wallop' to many seminal British Blues recordings.
