It marked the first appearance of Georgie Fame with Morrison. Fame played the Hammond organ and also provided backup vocals and helped direct the band. The all new songs were rehearsed in two days and then recorded in another two days.
It was also in 1989 that Georgie Fame joined forces with Van Morrison, after having been invited to play Hammond organ on Van’s Avalon Sunset album the previous year. He continued to record and tour with Morrison throughout the nineties.

The video also features jazz singer Georgie Fame on Hammond organ. Some reviewers have stated that Van Morrison was not in best shape during the concert, his voice was probably strained by a cold.
Teaming with Georgie Fame brought new impetus to his live show while Avalon Sunset saw him back in the album and single charts by the decades end. Van Morrison continued to advance on his status as a game- changing artist through the 90s and into the 21st century.
