View from the Ground is the tenth studio album by British-American folk rock duo America, released by Capitol Records in August 1982. This album marked a comeback for a group that had been generally written off since Dan Peek's departure five years before.

Timothy Bruce Schmit (born October 30, 1947) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He has performed as the bassist and vocalist for Poco and the Eagles, having replaced Randy Meisner in both cases. Schmit has also worked for decades as a session musician and solo artist.
