Okt. 2022 · With the exception of Dick Dale‘s “Shake & Stomp (Part II)”, the material here isn’t so much surf music in the traditional “Pipeline” vein as it is just high-energy, feel-good rock ‘n’ roll, with heavy tips of the hat to the guitar stylings of Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
3. Nov. 2023 · Performed by talented guitarist Gary Hoey, this collection of instrumentals runs the gamut of musical styles and catches fire often. Highlights include a duet with surf guitar legend Dick Dale (“Shake and Stomp Part II”) and a spirited cover of War’s 1970s gem “Lowrider.” GRADE: B
