The Knife Feels Like Justice is the debut album by American musician Brian Setzer, released in 1986 on the EMI America record label. In contrast to the rockabilly sound of his earlier band Stray Cats , this album emphasizes a roots rock sound, in the style of one of his major influences, John Cougar Mellencamp . [1]

März 2018 · Tom Petty guitarist Mike Campbell plays 12-string on one song, Late Night drummer Steve Jordan and Petty organist Benmont Tench help out on another, and Little Steven Van Zandt gets co-songwriting credits on one too. The Knife Feels Like Justice was produced by Don Gehman, who also oversees Mellencamp’s records.

März 2022 · Another highlight was tasty 12-string electric on “Aztec,” co-written by Mike Campbell ( VG, March ’21). “A high point for me in recording the album was when Mike and Benmont Tench, from Tom Petty’s band, joined us in the studio,” said Aaronson. “That was a really cool session with those guys.”
